Sleeves made of Mo/MY
 |
In order to enable the tungsten filament to be welded to the ML-conducting pins for lamp manufacture the connection ends of the tungsten filament must be crimped in small Mo/MY-tubes which are used as welding aid. |
This process, called "sleeving", either takes place by pushing on the small finished tube or automatically winding a Mo/MY-ribbon directly over the connection end of the filament.
