| Not least because of the high price of tantalum and its alloys PLANSEE has developed material-saving, constructive solutions for chemical plant. Support parts for processing columns, autoclaves, mixing vessels and agitators (anchor-shaped stirrers and gas injectors) are all lined with thin sheets of tantalum and niobium. The high strength of these materials permits the use of very thin layers. |
