Heat Treatment and Hardening
Continuous furnaces and high-temperature vacuum furnaces are used for general heat treatment, bright annealing of mill products, and finished parts. Vacuum hardening requires high temperature heating followed by rapid cooling with gas flow (nitrogen, argon, helium) at pressures up to 20 bar.
Main Fields of Application:
- Annealing and hardening of tools and engineering parts
- Bright annealing of stainless steels (steel strip, small parts etc)
The PLANSEE USA Product Range:
- Development, design and production of complete hot zones for vacuum furnaces
- Exchange, rebuilding and upgrading of hot zones in existing vacuum furnaces (conversion of graphite to metallic hot zones)
- Heating elements, base plates and furnace boats for pusher furnaces
- Component manufacturing (heating elements, heat shields, charge racks and accessories)
- Spare parts and semi-finished products (sheets, wires, rods, fasteners)
